99 days till i walk across the stage of the civic center and receive that piece of paper that declares me a high school

graduate.

finish: to complete and perfect in detail; put the final touches on; to perfect (a person) in education , accomplishments, social graces, etc; the end or conclusion; the final part or last stage; to overcome completely; destroy or kill; finalize.

and this summer is going to be ridiculously splendid :)

these Days...

only four sets of Weeks with seven Days
with twenty-four Hours that hold 1440 Minutes
left till that something we’ve been waiting for;
that something it seems we’ve waited for so,
so long for. but now,
that same Time flies by us…

we never expected it to happen to us,
for those Hours that lasted for Days
to zoom past faster than Minutes.
like that shooting star you look so intently for
that comes only to run away in a hurry, these Months are so.
we realize they are valuable now…

"there’s no changing things now,"
we think, wondering how we got so much laid on us:
homework, new responsibilities, weighty decisions that bog down our Days;
the clouding, cluttering stuff we’ve piled up absorbs our Minutes,
but, this is what we signed up for;
and we know the end will prove the work it took to get us there…so…

as these Days get steadily longer and the air warms up, just so,
we live in the here and now,
examining the road before us,
planing out our spare time to make the most of our Days,
getting closer to friends, making sure not to waste these few minutes,
knowing what they are really for…

we’re discovering what this has all been for,
that the sum of all our Time and effort really means so,
so much more than we managed to recognize, but now,
looking back we see it was all to make us just that: us.
all the Days,
all the Minutes…

they are now built into who we are, each of the Minutes
spent. no, invested. invested into becoming better people for
the chance of improving our future so
we could look back one day at who we are now
and be proud of us,
knowing we made the most of these Days…

and suddenly, the Days are gone; even the Minutes
till that Day we’ve been waiting for, so excited,
it’s finally here now; and the end of the story remains left to us…
